Being deaf rules out roomy row

Bob McCullough reveals here that being deaf doesn't so much cramp his style as it does his long legs on lengthy flights. (Plane engine photo via morgueFile.com)

I travel a great deal and am hardly ever lucky enough to get the window aisle seats. Flying is uncomfortable for all but the smallest of travelers. In-flight movies are much rarer than they used to be, and personal DVD players are under $100. Personally, I prefer reading. I empathize with Mr. McCullough’s inability to hear, but I think he overestimates his difficulties. Flying is not very comfortable for anyone. - gdh
